Paratha

Paratha (Porota in Bengali) is one of the most famous Bengali food item. It can be eaten as a breakfast dish or a tea time snack. Paratha is made by baking flour dough on a frying pan and finishing off with shallow frying. It is layered by coating with oil (mainly ghee) and folding repeatedly using a laminated dough technique. Paratha is normally eaten with Baji (mixed vegetables) or fried eggs (omelet). There is plain Paratha and stuffed Paratha, the most common ingredient for stuffed paratha is mashed spiced potatoes (aloo) followed by lentils (daal).

Variations: Poori, Kochuri

Lucchi is a deep fried flat bread that is made from all purpose flour (maida) and it can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner but mainly breakfast. It is made by preparing the dough and mixing flour, water and a spoonful of ghee then divided into small balls. The balls are flattened using a rolling pin and individually deep fried and served typically with either a Bengal style daal curry or a dum aloo (potato) curry.

And a Bengali people think if he doesn't eat tea in the breakfast then his day would not be good. And also Bangladesh have lots of green Tea garden.

How to make a cup of Green Tea? 
If you want to make a cup of tea, then you need to follow this steps.
Place the filled tea strainer or sieve into an empty mug or cup. Pour the heated water into the mug, over the tea leaves. Steep the tea leaves for 2 - 3 minutes but not any longer, or else your tea will become slightly bitter. Let your tea cool down and enjoy your perfect cup of green tea.
